Often referred to as “Merion Station”, but historical figures such as Theodore Roosevelt simple called it Merion. Merion is known around the world for the Barnes Foundation, a massive art collection of Impressionist and Post Impressionist paintings that were owned by a drug entrepreneur named Albert C. Barnes. This epic collection still exists, but was recently moved to Philadelphia, PA. Merion is also known for being home to Saint Joseph’s University, far much of the campus area containing student activity buildings and classrooms.
